Michelle Culpepper, a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), brings a rich blend of creativity and strategic insight to her role at MLCHC.
A graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and an Associates in Science from South Suburban College, Michelle's diverse educational background lays the groundwork for her commitment to fostering inclusive and thriving workplaces.

Joining MLCHC, Michelle was drawn to the organization's compassionate Mission Statement and impressed by its leadership teams. In her capacity as CHRO, she passionately champions diversity, equity, and inclusion, striving to create a workplace where every individual feels valued and truly belongs. Michelle's warm welcome and her dedication to the transformative power of education mark her not just as a leader but as a catalyst for positive change within MLCHC.

In previous roles Michelle was the CHRO at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health in Oregon and the VP of HR at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. Michelle has been in the Healthcare field for many years with most of those years in Behavioral Health.

Adding to her professional history Michelle has  been involved in church her whole life. Michelle had been a member of her current church in Chicago since 1989 and has been Ordained to preach the Gospel since 1999. She had served in many capacities in her church as well as with their fellowship since its creation and currently serves on the Fellowship's International Children & Youth Council.

As often as she can, Michelle loves to travel and has coordinated many overseas trips to Israel/Egypt, Greece, and South Africa. She also recently joined a missionary trip to Mombasa Kenya. When she’s not traveling she likes to hike, zipline, roller skate, sing, dance, and go to the movies.
