Description

Our Moses Lake Women, Infant & Children (WIC) Department is seeking a WIC Certifier to join their team! The WIC Certifier performs eligibility and appropriate certification or appointment for prospective and current WIC participants.

Responsibilities

  • Performs eligibility and appropriate certification or appointment for prospective and current WIC participants.
  • Establishes and helps participants manage their WIC care plan.
  • Prescribes and issues food benefits based on participant needs.
  • Encourages and promotes breastfeeding per WIC program guidelines.
  • Consistently exhibits Moses Lake Community Health Center’s Service Standards with participants and co-workers.
  • Consistently contributes to a work environment that is supportive and values the contributions of everyone.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate basic or non-technical information to co-workers and others.
  • Ability to effectively listen, empathize and pursue problem-solving with co-workers to resolve mild conflicts or disagreements.
  • Participates actively and constructively in meetings to ask questions, express own ideas and advance solutions.

  • Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish required.
