Buddy Walk

The DSSGC Columbia Basin Buddy Walk is one of the many buddy walks being held around the world.  The Buddy Walk® was established by the National Down Syndrome Society  in 1995 and has grown to be the world’s largest and most recognizable Down syndrome awareness program.  The Buddy Walk has grown from 17 walks in 1995 to over 225 walks taking place in all 50 states and select international countries. Each year over 315,000 walkers collectively raise nearly $14 million to benefit local programs and services, as well as the national advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.
