The Health Center opened its doors in Quincy in September 2002. The strong sense of community in Quincy is evident in the welcome received and the Health Center’s participation in community events, such as Farmer Consumer Days, and ongoing education. Quincy has recently welcomed high-tech companies such as Microsoft, and Yahoo!, Intuit and Sabe. Looking into the bright future of the Quincy valley and surrounding area, the Health Center is committed to providing the same quality of service to all patients that choose to receive their healthcare locally.
The Quincy Community Health Center is honored to receive recognition for their hard work and commitment to the health of the Quincy Valley community:
- The Sister Cecilia B. Abhold Award for excellence in outreach in farm worker health. - 2007 Award for Excellence in Immunization Service Delivery.
Quincy Community Health Center was nominated by the Grant County Health District and received this award based on high immunization rates (93-95% of children in various age categories were up to date on their immunizations), the very low number of vaccines wasted each month and accurate and timely reporting. The Quincy team’s motto is, “Use every opportunity to immunize”. - 2007 Golden Lantern Award.
Quincy Community Health Center was the recipient of the 2007 Golden Lantern Award presented by Migrant Health Promotion. The Promotoras of Migrant Health Promotion selected the name “Golden Lantern.” They believe that the award reflects the ability of Promtoras to “show the way” to good health and health care for themselves, their families, and communities.
