Moses Lake Physicians


Jill Simon, MD
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Simon received her Medical Doctorate from University of Alberta in Canada where she also completed her residency, specializing in Family Medicine with a fellowship in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Simon has been with the Health Center over 10 years and has developed meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues. She enjoys reading and cross stitch, stamping and card making. She and her husband are avid fans of the Edmonton Oilers.

Larry Verhage, MD
Dr. Verhage completed undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Trinity Christian College, received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Illinois and completed Residency at University of Iowa, specializing in Family Medicine. He has been with the Health Center over 10 years where he feels continually challenged. Dr. Verhage is a volunteer with the Christian Missionary Alliance Relief Organization providing medical care at the Hope Clinic in Guinea, West Africa and serves on the Moses Lake Christian Academy Board of Directors. He has been happily married for 21 years and has eight children. The area offers great weather for enjoying his favorite pastimes: camping, hiking, boating and swimming and raising sheep.

Andre Nye, MD
Dr. Nye completed undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University at Halifax, Nova Scotia in Chemistry and Post-baccalaureate studies at Harvard Extension School in Cambridge. He received is Medical Doctorate from Albany Medical College and completed Family Practice residency at Department of Family & Community Medicine at Lancaster General Hospital. Dr. Nye has been with the Health Center over seven years. He is married and has two teenaged children. Dr. Nye is an avid runner and enjoys camping and scuba diving in his spare time.

M. Ryan Tolley, DO
(Spanish bi-lingual)
Dr. Tolley completed undergraduate studies in Biology at California State University at San Bernardino and received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed the Wilson Family Practice Residency in Johnson City, NY. Dr. Tolley has been with the Health Center for over six years. He is involved in church service and the boy scouts as a volunteer. He enjoys the small town feel and recreational activities available in the community where he and his wife are raising their five children. Dr. Tolley enjoys running, camping, gardening, water sports and spending time with his family.

Natalie Paluch, MD
Dr. Paluch completed undergraduate studies at Duke University and obtained her Medical Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Medicine specializing in Pediatrics. She completed her residency at Children’s Hospital at Oakland. She and her husband are Pacific Northwest natives and enjoy spending time with their baby son. Dr. Paluch’s interests include gardening, skiing, camping, hiking and photography.

Kristy Thompson, DO
Dr. Thompson completed undergraduate studies at Washington State University and obtained her Doctor of Osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, specializing in Family Medicine. She completed her residency at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington in Vancouver. Growing up, Dr. Thompson’s mom worked in Maternity Support Services for a community health clinic. This led to a desire to work in a patient-centered environment with passionate and dedicated individuals with the same goals. She enjoys camping, water sports, dance, and music. She and her husband are avid college football fans and enjoy spending time with their two young children.

Kim Nguyen, MD
(Vietnamese (native) bi-lingual)
Dr. Nguyen completed undergraduate studies in Chemistry at University of Waterloo in Toronto, Canada and received an MSc in Chemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. He received his Medical Doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica Island and completed Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NY. Dr. Nguyen recently moved to the area with his wife and young son. They appreciate the friendly community, sunny climate and light traffic the area offers. He enjoys listening to music, playing soccer, hiking and camping, and spending time with his family.

Quincy Physicians


Robert Shelly, MD

Dr. Shelly completed undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Messiah College. He received his Medical Doctorate from and completed his residency at the University of Rochester, School of Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He has committed his medical career to serving where doctors are in short supply and finds it rewarding to provide high quality health care to people from all walks of life, regardless of their ability to pay.

Dr. Shelly grew up in Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo), where his parents were Medical Missionaries. He worked in Nicaragua, Central America for 3 years providing medical care with the Mennonite Church prior to joining the Health Center. He and wife, Wendy, who is a Registered Dietitian working for the Health Center’s First Steps Maternity Support Services program, enjoy the small town life, friendly neighbors and the 3-minute commute to work. In his spare time, Dr. Shelly enjoys traveling and distance running.

B. Mark Vance, MD
Dr. Vance completed undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and received his Medical Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He served an internship in Psychiatry at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center and completed his Residency at Southern Illinois University. Previous to joining the Quincy medical community, Dr. Vance worked as a Naval Ship Physician on the USS Kalamazoo. Dr. Vance, his wife and their 5 children are very involved in the Quincy community. He is actively involved in the Quincy Valley Allied Arts and has appeared in several local plays and musicals.

Anna Espiritu, MD
Dr. Espiritu completed her undergraduate studies and Medical Doctorate at the University of the Philippines. Her Internship and Residency in Family Medicine was completed at In His Image in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Espiritu joined Quincy Community Health center in September of 2009. Her interests include all phases of family medicine and her primary objective is to improve the quality of healthcare for families in the Quincy community. Dr. Espiritu’s other interests include trekking, hiking, fishing and traveling.

Maria Celeste Lomarda, MD
Dr. Lomarda completed undergraduate studies at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, in Manila, Philippines. Her Internship and Residency was completed at Summa Health System, Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Lomarda joined the Quincy Community Health Center in September of 2009. Dr. Lomarda is the eldest of four children, three of whom still reside in the Philippines. Interested in Public and Women’s Health, she hopes to work with the women here in the Quincy community. Her interests include trying different foods, traveling, reading, theater and hopes to do a half marathon in the future.

Moses Lake Nurse Practitioners


Kelly Welz, ARNP
Kelly received her ADN in nursing from Big Bend Community College in 1990 and practiced as an RN in the community for 13 years prior to pursing undergraduate and graduate degrees from Gonzaga University. Kelly is a native of Washington and moved to Moses Lake in 1981 with her husband of 25 years and has two grown children; one in the Marine Corps and one in college. She loves the people, weather and extended growing season in Grant County.

Kris Kehler, ARNP
Kris received her Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Washington, and completed her Nursing degree at Olympic College. She earned her Masters as a FNP from Washington State University. Previous to joining Moses Lake Community Health Center, she worked as an RN in ER, pediatrics and at Samaritan Hospital in the Mother and Baby unit. After spending time serving our patients during her clinical rotations she was excited to begin her career as a Nurse Practitioner at the Health Center. She and her husband of 20+ years and their three active, busy children relocated to Moses Lake from the Seattle area about 4 years ago and have come to love the community, people and ample opportunities for outdoor play.

Quincy Nurse Practitioners


Valerie Kato, ARNP
Valerie completed her Bachelor’s of Nursing at Washington State University and her Masters Degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane. Valerie has worked as a nurse for the past ten years on a surgical floor, inpatient trauma/burn rehabilitation and in ICU. She enjoys backpacking, fly fishing, skiing, knitting and gardening. She loves living in Central Washington with her husband of eight years, and enjoys a small town. She is looking forward to working at the Quincy Community Health Center.

Moses Lake Physician Assistants


Robert Ebel, PA-C
Bob completed undergraduate studies in Human Nutrition at Washington State University. He worked six years for the Health Center as a Registered Dietitian and Director of the WIC Nutrition program before completing the Physician Assistant program at the University of Washington, School of Medicine MEDEX Northwest. He has been a primary care provider at the Health Center for five years. Bob and his wife are longtime Moses Lake residents and have two daughters. Bob enjoys spending time with his family, building furniture and woodworking, kayaking, hiking and backpacking and routinely rides his bike to work.

Allen Noble, PA-C
(Spanish and German bi-lingual)
Allen completed undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and received his Masters in Physician Assistant studies from Pacific University. He served a mission in Switzerland and was a volunteer at Essential Health Clinic while in graduate school. He and his wife were raised in the Wenatchee area and enjoy spending time with their son and nephew. Allen enjoys family outings, boating, swimming, skiing and working around the house.

Quincy Physician Assistants


Donna Dabney, PA-C
Donna completed undergraduate studies in Allied Health Sciences at the Community College of the Air Force and completed the University of Washington, MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program. During her 20 year career in the Air Force, she had the opportunity to serve on several humanitarian tours in underserved areas. Donna is involved in the Celebrate Recovery Program, helping people overcome habits, hang-ups and addictions. Donna enjoys gardening and painting and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoys the remoteness of the area with close proximity to larger towns, the friendly helpful people in the community and she appreciates the agricultural landscape and four distinct seasons.
